Arrest Made in Miami Beach Bank Robbery

John V. Gillies, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI Miami Field Office, announces the arrest on 01/20/2012 of Cedrick Deon Swasey, 31, of Sunny Isles, Florida, in connection with the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank at 1901 Alton Road, Miami Beach, Florida, on September 21, 2011.

The arrest was made at approximately 10:30 p.m. without incident in Miramar, Florida, by members of the South Florida Violent Crime/Fugitive Task Force, the Miramar Police Department, and the Miami Beach Police Department.

The individual arrested is expected to face federal charges. It is anticipated that he will have his initial appearance in federal court Monday in Miami, Florida.

The FBI, Miami Beach Police Department, Broward Sheriff’s Office, City of Miami Police Department, and the South Florida Violent Crime/Fugitive Task Force continue their investigation.

The FBI continues to seek other suspects and persons of interest in connection with this crime. Anyone with information should call the FBI in Miami at (305) 944-9101.
