  • Public Affairs Specialist Joyce McCants (865) 544-0751

The Knoxville Division of the FBI and the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) launched an electronic billboard campaign to help identify and locate the two men suspected of robbing the SunTrust Bank.

The first suspect, Kaylon Batts, was arrested on June 5, 2013, by the FBI SSTF in Memphis, Tennessee, and remains in custody.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the remaining suspect, Dion Kinnear. Kinnear is a 25-year-old black male, approximately 5’10” tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, with tattoos on his forearms, neck, and chest.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KPD at 865-215-7212. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), composed of the FBI, KPD, Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
