Armed Bank Robber Sought in Knoxville

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the CBBC Bank today.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on February 13, 2013, the suspect entered the CBBC Bank branch located at 125 South Peters Road in Knoxville, Tennessee, displayed a dark-colored revolver, and demanded money. The subject was described as:

  • Black male
  • 20-30 years of age
  • 5’07” to 5’09” tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black ski mask, red jacket with a hood, and dark pants

After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KPD at 865-215-7212. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual.

This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (composed of the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
