Two Men Arrested in Robbery of Community South Bank Branch in Knoxville

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) announce the arrest of Martin Perusquia, age 47, of Ormond Beach, Florida, and William Clendenning, age 65, of York, Pennslyvania. Both suspects were arrested, almost immediately and without incident, by KPD officers responding to the robbery. Perusquia and Clendenning are facing federal charges for bank robbery. They are suspected of robbing the Community South Bank located at 625 Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. This matter was a joint investigation of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO), and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
