Eighth Annual East Tennessee CyberSecurity Summit

KNOXVILLE—The eighth Annual East Tennessee CyberSecurity Summit is scheduled for downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, on October 23-24, 2012, hosted by the FBI, UT, Fountainhead College of Technology, TVA, TVA-OIG, and ORNL. The summit brings together academia, IT professionals, government agencies, and private industry to share expertise and experiences to better identify and protect against cyber threats.
This year, emerging technologies, including cloud computing and mobile computing, will be topics of discussion. Attendees will also get a taste of cyber espionage and network forensics. Speakers will also be addressing techniques for expunging threats that have infiltrated systems.
The summit will be held at the downtown Hilton on Church Avenue, beginning on Tuesday morning, October 23, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. with opening remarks by Knoxville FBI Special Agent in Charge Kenneth Moore, followed by an impressive line-up of professionals with a wealth of experience in cyber security.
