Suspect in Credit Union Robbery Arrested

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) announce the arrest of Dennis W. Ross. At approximately 2:00 this afternoon, Ross, age 36, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested, without incident, by members of the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), KPD Major Crime Unit, and the KPD Repeat Offender Squad. Ross is facing federal charges of bank robbery. He is suspected of robbing the City Employees Credit Union located at 4426 Western Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee earlier today. This matter was a joint investigation of the FBI SSTF and KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force consists of personnel from the FBI, Knoxville Police Department (KPD), and the Knox County Sheriffs Office (KCSO).
