FBI Safe Streets Task Force Announces the Arrest of Mike Rowden

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), and Chief Allen Massengill of the Oak Ridge Police Department (ORPD), announces the arrest of Mike Rowden on Robbery charges related to the armed robbery of a local CVS Pharmacy.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Mike Rowden, age 27, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested without incident at the Comfort Inn in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, by detectives from the KCSO, officers from the ORPD, and Agents from DEA and the FBI’s Safe Safe Streets Task Force. Rowden is facing charges state charges for armed robbery as well as federal Hobbs Act charges. He is suspected of robbing the CVS Pharmacy on Emory Road in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 9, 2011.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
