FBI, KPD, and KCSO, as Part of the Safe Streets Task Force, Announce Arrest of Mario Lambert

At approximately 1:45 this afternoon, Mario Lambert, 39, of Rockford, Illinois, was arrested by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task force in collaboration with the Knoxville Police Department. The arrest was pursuant to a Federal Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution (UFAP) warrant issued by the Northern District of Illinois and was obtained on May 8, 2009, by the Chicago Division of the FBI. Lambert is charged with Drug Trafficking and violation of parole. The arrest occurred without incident at the intersection of Broadway and Mineral Springs Road in Knoxville, Tennessee.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
