FBI, KPD, and KCSO, as Part of the Safe Streets Task Force, and the KCSO Major Crimes Unit are Searching for Man Who Robbed a Knoxville Bank

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed a Knoxville bank last night.

At approximately 7:15 last night, a man entered the Green Bank located at 136 Concord Road in Knoxville, Tennessee, and committed a takeover style robbery. The suspect placed the bank employees in a back room, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, late 30s to early 40s, between 6’3”and 6’ 4” tall, with a medium build. Suspect was wearing a dark jacket, camouflage pattern pants, a dark, head covering and tinted goggles. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene on foot.

A reward is being offered for information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KSCO at 865-215-2243. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI SSTF and KCSO Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
