FBI, KPD, and KCSO, as Part of the Safe Streets Task Force, Announce the Arrest of Matthew Gregory

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) and Sterling Owen IV of the Knoxville Police Department announce the arrest of Matthew Gregory on bank robbery charges related to the robbery of the Suntrust Bank on 06/30/2009.

At approximately 10:40 last night, Matthew Douglas Gregory, age 32, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested, without incident, by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), KPD, and KCSO.  Gregory is facing state charges for Bank Robbery. He is suspected of robbing the Suntrust Bank located inside the Kroger grocery store at 9305 Kingston Pike in Knoxville. 

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
