Tylertown Man Sentenced on Federal Drug Charges

HATTIESBURG, MS—Tony Ervin a/k/a Ti, 36, of Tylertown, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett to serve 74 months in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base (“crack”). Ervin was also ordered to pay $11,700 in restitution, and a $2,000 fine. He agreed to forfeit real property, a Cadillac Escalade, two firearms, and multiple rounds of ammunition.

This case is the result of an extensive investigation, dubbed Operation Run This Town, targeting illegal narcotics distribution in Walthall and Marion Counties.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation in this case, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and the Walthall County Sheriff’s Department.
