Wiggins Man Sentenced on Bank Robbery Charges

GULFPORT, MS—Samuel D’Neal Goodwin, 22, of Wiggins, was sentenced in United States District Court today to serve 74 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release for robbing the Hancock Bank in Gulfport on February 4, 2011, U.S. Attorney John Dowdy announced. Goodwin was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine. He has been in federal custody since his arrest on February 4, 2011.
The case was investigated by the Gulfport Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Annette Williams.
