Gulfport Man Sentenced on Bank Robbery Charges

GULFPORT, MS—Marcus Bernard Anderson, also known as Marcus Bernard McRee, 24, of Gulfport, was sentenced in United States District Court today to serve 82 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for robbing the Hancock Bank in Gulfport on February 4, 2011, U.S. Attorney John Dowdy announced. Anderson pled guilty to the charge on May 31, 2011.

The case was investigated by the Gulfport Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Annette Williams.
