The National Stolen Art File (NSAF) is a database of stolen art and cultural property. Stolen objects are submitted for entry to the NSAF by law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad. When an object is recovered, it is removed from the database. However, be aware that not all recoveries are reported to the NSAF.     Document in loose leaf, vertical format, with support elaborated in century XIX, presents mixed writing (printed and manuscript) maintaining the format of payment with charge to branch post office. The header has the almond shaped stamp of the "ADM.ON JRAL DE CORREOS DE LIMA", next to it the blue stamp "VAPOR". Underneath, in capital letter "ADMINISTRACIÓN JENERAL DE CORREOS Lima a 12 de Julio de 1853" (“GENERAL POST OFFICE ADMINISTRATION Lima, 12 July 1853”), "AL ADMINISTRADOR DE LOS DE Huaura" ("TO THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THOSE OF Huaura"). It shows a table with the categories: Number, Class, Freight, Value (To be paid by that post office), and Number, Value (Francs). At the side of the painting, the printed inscription “ADVERTENCIAS” ("WARNINGS"). It presents the printed and handwritten rubrics of José Dávila Condemarin and Juan Centeno as the intervener. It ends with the printed inscription “Certificados” ("Certificates"). The document is in a regular state of conservation, with general oxidation of the support and dispersed stains of humidity; the ink writing presents loss of colour and oxidation (rubric of Davila). The folio has three vertical and two horizontal folds, used to reduce the size of the folio. It has a circular imprint on the opposite side of the folio, apparently a seal. REFERENCE # 01168

The heading presents the printed form "REPUBLICA PERUANA" ("PERUVIAN REPUBLIC”), under the general administration of the Lima Post Office, addressed to Arequipa; "ADMINISTRACION JENERAL DE Señor Administrador de los de CORREOS DE LIMA Marzo 29 1850. Arequipa" ("GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF Mister Administrator of the LIMA POST OFFICE 29 March 1850. Arequipa"). The body shows the number of letters, and the value in pesos, real: "Número de CARTAS 9" ("Number of LETTERS 9"), "Valor PESOS. REALES 4-1" ("Value PESOS. REAL 4-1"), “son descargo 4 pesos y un real” ("4 pesos and one real are discarded"). It has the autographs of Dávila and Correa (printed); it also shows the topical and chronological date, with the respective autograph of reception. Verso side: Folio without writing, printing imprints and migration of ferro-gallic ink can be seen. Regular state of conservation, with evidence of belonging to a complex unit (book or file), support with oxidation and/or yellowing, presents humidity stains like halos, oxidation of ferro-gallic ink with migration to the opposite side of the support, has support folds in the right side, central part; in the lower part presents folds like wrinkles that weaken the support. On the lower left side, numbering or foliation made with charcoal pencil: "10". The edges of the support have irregularities due to handling. The reverse side of the folio has a marked print, migration of ferro-gallic ink (autographs), with yellow stains due to humidity, with vertical and horizontal folds in the central part of the support dividing the support into four fields; apparently used to reduce the original size. It has a regular state of conservation, with accounting characteristics of belonging to a complex unit (book, file), signs of oxidation of the support (yellowing), the register with the greatest load of ink shows halos of oxidation of ferro-gallic ink, the other registers with ferro-gallic ink show loss of colour; the contours of the support on the upper right and left side margin, show irregularities in the form of ripples and breaks.     Description: A loose folio document, vertical format, rag holder, on sealed or stamped paper; with mixed writing (printed and handwritten). Right side: In the upper middle margin, right side, there is a cross, below the header with upper and lower case letters indicating: "DON ANDRES DE MORALES Y DE LOS RIOS, Veinte y quatro de la Ciudad de Cordova, del Consejo de S. M. en el Real de Hazienda y Juez Superintendente General de la Real Casa de Moneda de esta Ciudad" ("DON ANDRES DE MORALES Y DE LOS RIOS, Twenty-four of the City of Cordova, from the Council of H. M. in the Real de Hazienda and Judge Superintendent General of the Royal Mint of this City"). On the left side, it has ink and print registers; the body of the printed document is arranged as a form, with data respecting a writing box towards the right margin of the folio. Back side: Sealed paper, begins with the sign of the cross; on the upper left side it shows the circular seal of the royalty; on the side, the value of the paper (one quarter), followed by “SELLO QUARTO, UN QUARTILLO, AÑOS DE MIL SETECIENTOS Y QUARENTA Y TRES” ("SEAL FOUR, ONE QUART, YEARS OF A THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY THREE"). Below, the years are extended, to make use of the paper “SIRVE PARA EL REYNADO DE S.M. EL (ilegible) FERNANDO EL VI. PARA LOS AÑOS DE 1753 Y 1754” ("SERVES FOR THE KING OF H.M. THE (illegible) FERNANDO EL VI. FOR THE YEARS 1753 AND 1754"). Conservation of the straight side: regular, with characteristics of belonging to a complex unit (book or file). The support has moisture oxidation and migration of iron-Galic ink in the process of oxidation on the opposite side of the support; stains in the form of halos around the manuscript with iron-Galic ink. At the lower part of the left side, there is a paper frame adhered as a patch, which is repeated on the opposite side of the folio. The backside shows migration of iron-Galic ink (manuscript and autograph), oxidation of ink (autograph), and yellow stains due to humidity; the edges of the support have irregularities due to loss, breakage and lack of support.     Document of a loose folio, in vertical format, presents mixed writing (printed and handwritten). The document is arranged according to the official correspondence form of the Arequipa Post Office. The heading presents the form "REPÚBLICA PERUANA" (“PERUVIAN REPUBLIC”), below the postal administration that sends the document, followed by the route to which it is addressed: "Administración de correos de Arequipa / Correo de la ruta del Cuzco en 30 de octubre 1847 / Correspondencia de oficio del S. Teniente Prefecto. El cuerpo del documento consigna el número de cartas, precios y lo referido a reales de plata “dos a tres / 2 á 3 / 6” (“Arequipa post office administration / Post office of the Cuzco route on 30 October 1847 / Official letter correspondence from the S. Teniente Prefecto. The body of the document states the number of letters, prices and what is referred to as "two to three" silver reales / 2 to 3 / 6”); the final protocol states the manuscript “sesión” ("session") and printed “Se recibieron” ("Received"). At the bottom of the left side, it has a pencil numbering or foliation "13". On the verse side there is no writing, there are printing impressions and migration of ferro-Gallic ink. The document is evidence of belonging to a complex unit (book or bundle) because it has four perforations as joint and/or seam marks, which are located on the left side margin. The support shows oxidation and/or yellowing, occasional stains of humidity in the form of halos (right and left sides).     Description: Document of a loose folio, in vertical format, with mixed writing (printed and handwritten), and “disposition as a form. The heading presents "REPÚBLICA PERUANA" (“PERUVIAN REPUBLIC”) printed under "ADMINISTRACIÓN DE CORREOS DE Trujillo, Setiembre 30 de 1829" ("ADMINISTRATION OF MAILS OF Trujillo, 30 September 1829"). Addressed to the Administrator of Cajamarca. The wording of the document reads: “Dirijo á U. las cartas extravagantes, cuyo número y valor de cargo y descargo (…) designa respectivamente la guía principal (…) por comprobante de su conformidad” ("I address to U. the extravagant letters, whose number and value of charge and discharge (...) designate respectively the main guide (...) by proof of their conformity"). In addition, it states the number of cards and the value in actual weight "No. OF CARDS 3 / REAL WEIGHT VALUE 1-1", below: “son descargo un peso un real” ("are a weight off a real one"). They present four autographs; two from the Trujillo administration and the other two from the Cajamarca administration, which he receives on 8 October 1829. The document belongs to a complex unit (book or file) because it has six holes as joint and/or seam marks, which are located on the left side margin. The support presents oxidation and/or yellowing, dispersed humidity stains with incidence in the parts that contain manuscript and punctual stains of ink. The outer edges of the straight sheet (top, bottom, right and left side) show irregularities with loss and breaks in the support. At the bottom of the left side, it is numbered or foliated in pencil: "23".
