FORT WAYNE, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office announced the following activity in federal court:

Dispositions:

  • Joseph Brewington, 24, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by District Judge Theresa L. Springmann to 36 months’ imprisonment and two years’ supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of knowingly maintaining a premise for the purpose of distributing marijuana. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Gellar.
  • Jermorris Sewell, 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by District Judge Theresa L. Springmann to serve 110 months’ imprisonment and eight years’ supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of knowingly or intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances. This case was the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Gellar.
