Week in Review—Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office announced the following activity:

Plea:

• Manuel Rivera, 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to the felony offense of misuse of a Social Security number. Magistrate Cosbey is recommending that the district court accept the tendered guilty plea. Parties have 10 days in which to object to the magistrate judge’s recommendation. These charges were filed as a result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police ID Theft Task Force. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

If convicted in court, any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Dispositions:

• Robert Littlejohn, 25, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 42 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of use of a communication facility to conspire to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute crack cocaine. This case was the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fort Wayne Safe Streets Task Force (FWSSTF), which is comprised of FBI special agents and officers from the Indiana State Police, the Allen County Police Department, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.
• Trampas Sheets, 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a defendant in the case U.S. v Hyser et al., was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 48 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of profiting from and making available for use a drug involved premises. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.
