Week in Review – Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office announced the following activity in federal court:

Jonathan P. Davis, 19, of Delta, Ohio, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count two of an indictment charging him with robbery of a controlled substance. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Ligonier Police Department, and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

Anterio D. Ford, 19, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Ford was previously convicted of possession of marijuana. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert Trgovich.

Timothy B. Ryan, 26, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging him with receipt of material involving the sexual exploitation of children. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Task Force. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

Carwin Holley-Chambers, 32, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 84 months’ imprisonment and four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count of an indictment charging him with distribution of crack cocaine. James Rutledge, 31, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by to 33 months’ imprisonment and four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count in the same indictment charging him with distribution of crack cocaine and aiding and abetting. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang Unit. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.

Jeffrey Crews, 48, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 240 months’ imprisonment and 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count four of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

Antonio Lewis, Jr., 21, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 80 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to counts five and seven of an indictment charging him with making false statements in connection to the purchase of a firearm, and sale of a firearm to a convicted felon. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang Unit. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.

David E. Hunter, 26, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 18 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. This case was the result of an investigation by tje Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
