FBI Honolulu Supervisory Special Agent Edward Ignacio in Kona Ironman World Championships

Last October, in memory of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, FBI Honolulu Division Supervisory Special Agent Edward Ignacio finished the Kona Ironman World Championships—wearing 40 pounds of gear—in an effort to raise awareness of Hawaii’s status as the only state without a memorial for fallen officers. After completing the 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike ride, SSA Ignacio put on a ballistic vest and helmet, and completed the 26.2 mile run.
