Empty Frame at Gardner Museum
An empty frame in the Dutch Room of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, where Rembrandt’s The Storm on the Sea of Galilee and A Lady and Gentleman in Black once hung. The museum was robbed on March 18, 1990, in what remains the largest property crime in U.S. history.
