Cleveland Division Unknown Child Predator
Unknown child predator believed to be responsible for abducting a 6-year-old from inside her home in Cleveland on May 21, 2016 at approximately 3:30 a.m. This child predator entered the home, with adults sleeping, and took the 6-year-old for 17 hours. He dropped her off approximately two miles from her home, not unharmed.

FBI Boston Hosts Community Program
In 2023, FBI Boston hosted 30 business, civic, and community leaders for a seven-week program providing an inside look at the FBI. Participants attended sessions by various branches and participated in a “Day at the Range” at the FBI’s Regional Firearms Training Center. At the conclusion of the program, attendees were provided with a certificate of completion by FBI Director Christopher Wray and Special Agent in Charge Joseph Bonavolonta.

In August 2023, FBI Buffalo participated in the National Federation for Just Communities Agents of Change Summer Camp. The camp, in its 41st year, gave high schools students in Western New York the opportunity to interact with staff from different law enforcement agencies. Students were able to complete hands-on STEM work by using forensic techniques to create cast impressions of their shoes in sand.

The FBI Dallas office held its field training exercise on May 1, 2104, with its federal, state, and local law enforcement and private sector partners collaborating to respond to an attack scenario at a local mall. FBI Detroit visits the Mexican Heritage Association of West Michigan in 2023 to provide a presentation on the FBI. Topics discussed included FBI 101, internet safety, and the FBI’s Safe Online Surfing Program.

FBI Detroit Attends Street Festival
In 2023, FBI Detroit’s community outreach and recruitment teams attended the Linc Up Rock the Block Street Festival in Grand Rapids alongside other law enforcement partners. Event attendees were able to learn about the FBI and receive a number of resources pertaining to safety and crime prevention.

FBI Honolulu Supervisory Special Agent Edward Ignacio in Kona Ironman World Championships
Last October, in memory of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, FBI Honolulu Division Supervisory Special Agent Edward Ignacio finished the Kona Ironman World Championships—wearing 40 pounds of gear—in an effort to raise awareness of Hawaii’s status as the only state without a memorial for fallen officers. After completing the 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike ride, SSA Ignacio put on a ballistic vest and helmet, and completed the 26.2 mile run.

FBI Knoxville Helps Prepare Thanksgiving Meal Boxes
As part of the Faith and Blue nationwide campaign, FBI Knoxville joined forces with federal and local law enforcement agencies as well as FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association members to help prepare Thanksgiving meal boxes in November 2023. Volunteers packed 700 complete Thanksgiving meal boxes to feed more than 2,400 family members.
