Seeking Potential Victims in Jaime Gonzalez-Farias Investigation
The FBI’s Columbia Division is seeking information regarding potential victims in a federal child sex crimes investigation.
Fr. Jaime Gonzalez-Farias a/k/a “Father Gonzales” a/k/a “Father Jamie” was indicted in October 2022 and arrested in November 2022 for coercion and enticement of a minor, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, and transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. He is being prosecuted in federal court in South Carolina. The charges are merely allegations, and Gonzalez-Farias is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Gonzalez-Farias served in various roles with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston (South Carolina) between 2015-2020. He has served in the church in at least Chile and the United States. He held various roles, including pastor, parochial vicar, administrator, chaplain, and priest. He has been ordained as a priest since at least 1990.

La División de Columbia del FBI está buscando información sobre posibles víctimas en una investigación federal de delitos sexuales contra menores.
El Padre Jaime González-Farías, alias “Father Gonzales”, alias “Father Jamie” fue acusado en octubre del 2022 y detenido en noviembre del 2022 por coacción y seducción de un menor, abuso sexual agravado de un menor y transporte de un menor con la intención de participar en una actividad sexual delictiva. Se encuentra bajo proceso en un tribunal federal de Carolina del Sur. Las acusaciones son meras alegaciones y González-Farías se presume inocente a menos que y hasta que se demuestre su culpabilidad.
González-Farías desempeñó diversas funciones en la Diócesis Católica Romana de Charleston (Carolina del Sur) entre 2015 y 2020. Ha servido en la iglesia por lo menos en Chile y Los Estados Unidos. Desempeñó diversas funciones, como párroco, vicario parroquial, administrador, capellán y sacerdote. Fue ordenado como sacerdote desde por lo menos en 1990.
