2023 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient

The New York Division honors Mitchell Darrow Silber. Mr. Silber is the executive director of the Community Security Initiative, which protects and enhances security for Jewish communities in the New York City region. In 2023, CSI provided valuable information to the FBI after the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, including names of Americans killed, missing, and presumably kidnapped.
