2023 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient

The Columbia Division honors Serve and Connect. The South Carolina-based nonprofit fosters positive change through police and community partnerships. Kassy Alia Ray founded the organization in 2015 after her husband was killed in the line of duty. Serve and Connect focuses on mental illness, hunger, providing winter clothing, and building trust with law enforcement.
