FBI Springfield honors the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, which has addressed the opiate epidemic by building the Community Care Campus. The federally qualified health care clinic serves low-and moderate-income residents, and includes a medical detox program, a residential treatment facility, an addiction recovery center, and a 60-bed transitional housing facility. The center provides treatment options for all types of drug addictions.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
