FBI San Diego honors Jewish Family Service, which proved invaluable after a gunman attacked the Chabad of Poway Synagogue last year. Jewish Family Services was the lead point of contact for law enforcement to connect with the Chabad community, and provided support to victims. Founded in 1918, the organization provides a host of services to the community and served nearly 40,000 clients last year.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
