Sacramento – Breaking the Chains
2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient

FBI Sacramento honors Breaking the Chains, a nonprofit that provides short- and long-term services to victims of human trafficking, including counseling, job support, and housing for survivors. The organization also hosts a monthly meeting to collaborate with law enforcement to prevent trafficking in the Central San Joaquin Valley and is developing a new forensic interviewing facility to support law enforcement agencies.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
