2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient

FBI Portland honors Antoinette Edwards, who has spent her life working for equality, human dignity, and social justice. In Oregon, she is known as a lifeline to at-risk youth and for her service to the African American and LGBTQ communities. The former director of Portland’s Office of Youth Violence Prevention, Edwards also ran the city’s Street Level Gang Outreach Program.

FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders


Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service.
