The FBI Office of Public Affairs honors Tom Joyner, who used his nationally syndicated radio show to promote FBI programs, including the 100th anniversary of the first African American special agent. In 2019, the FBI partnered with Joyner for his 17th annual Family Reunion Expo. Three minority special agents in charge appeared on a career panel and took questions from students interested in joining the FBI.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
