New York – Trainers United on Long Island for the Prevention of Suicide
2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient
FBI New York honors Trainers United on Long Island for the Prevention of Suicide—or TULIPS. The organization is dedicated to preventing suicide in law enforcement by providing free suicide awareness and intervention training. The FBI has participated in the training since 2016, first with a small group of employees and now offers this training to the entire New York workforce.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service.
