FBI New Haven honors Peace Island Institute Connecticut. The institute addresses the gender, race, and cultural differences between law enforcement and community members in the state. The organization stood side-by-side with law enforcement to dismantle negative stereotypes of police during community unrest over police activity last year and hosted programs to build mutual respect and collaboration.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2019 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
