2018 Director’s Community Leadership Award Recipient

The New York Division honors the Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center. The center is a child-focused site for victims of physical and sexual abuse. Representatives from numerous agencies work in a single, secure facility, which provides a safe setting for interviewing and examining child victims. Families receive services throughout the investigative and legal processes.

FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders


In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on May 3, 2019, Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2018 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
