The Criminal Justice Information Services Division honors Mark Urso. Bullied as a child, Urso recognizes the issues and consequences of bullying. He wanted students in West Virginia to know that however they may struggle, they are not alone. He launched Building Hope to break down stereotypical barriers and help students build empathy for one another.
FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders
In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on May 3, 2019, Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2018 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
