Robbery of 1st Convenience Bank Branch in Houston

The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs the public’s help in identifying the bank robber who threatened and robbed tellers at the 1st Convenience Bank located at 2300 Gessner in Houston, Texas earlier today. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the bank robber.

At about 10:51 a.m., the man entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening note. In the note, the robber threatened to have a gun; however, no weapon was observed by the teller. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank robber fled the area on foot.

The bank robber was described as a black male, approximately 5’8” to 6’0” tall, weighing approximately 150 to 180 pounds, with a mustache and full unkempt beard. He wore a black long-sleeved Nike “hoodie,” dark pants, and an olive green floppy sun or fishing-style hat.
