Robbery of Loomis Armored Car Service in Houston
FBI Releases Sketch of Suspects in Armored Car Heist

The FBI needs the public’s help in a recent unsolved armored car heist and is now releasing a sketch of the suspect to generate tips in the case. The heist happened in broad daylight and outside a busy shopping center on Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

At about 2:15 p.m., a lone robber armed with a handgun approached a Carrier for the Loomis Armored Car Service during a stop at the Movie Tavern located at 15719 North Freeway in Houston, Texas. The armed robber racked the slide of his gun as he pointed it at the Carrier. The robber grabbed the bag and ran to the east along the sidewalk and towards the North Freeway. Witnesses observed the robber getting into a dark colored Pontiac sedan driven by an unknown individual. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The armed robber is described as a black male, about 25- 30 years old, 5’9"-6’2” tall, 190 pounds with a medium build, and a medium complexion. He had a goatee. He wore a black T-shirt, black basketball shorts, black Jordan tennis shoes, and a black ball cap. He carried a black semi-automatic pistol in his left hand during the robbery.
