Robbery of Woodforest Bank Branch in Houston
One Suspected Arrested, Two Still at Large

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men who remain at large after the robbery of the Woodforest Bank located inside the Walmart at 9235 Sam Houston Parkway in Houston, Texas. One man is in the custody of Harris County Sheriff’s deputies pending charges. Two others remain at large. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured photographs of one of the two who remain at large.

At approximately 11:20a.m., two men entered the bank and demanded cash, while a third waited outside in a getaway car. One of the robbers got some cash. As the robbers exited the bank, the one holding the cash tripped and fell. Customers and employees helped detain the man until deputies arrived at the scene. All of the bank’s cash was recovered, but the other robber and the getaway driver escaped. The getaway vehicle was recovered a short distance away from the bank.

The robber is described a black male in his late 20s, 6’1” tall, 160-170 pounds, with a slender build and a light to medium complexion. He has a dark mark on his left cheek. He wore a white T-shirt with a black design, a black and white jacket, blue jeans, and a blue baseball hat. He had medium-length hair with dreadlocks. No description was immediately available for the getaway river.
