Speechless Man Robs Chase Bank

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help in identifying a man who robbed the Chase bank located at 12210 FM 1960 West in Houston, Texas, on 09/04/2010.

At approximately 12:25 p.m., the man entered the bank and gave a teller a threatening demand note. When the teller attempted to talk with him, he motioned that he could not hear. They teller advised it also appeared as though the man was unable to speak. The teller believed the robber may have possibly been deaf and mute. The teller provided him with some cash. He fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction. No weapon was directly observed, but witnesses did observe a bulge in the man’s waistband. No one was physically hurt. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured pictures of the man during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male, approximately 5’8”-5’10” tall, about 160-170 pounds, with a very dark complexion. During the robbery, he wore dark colored clothing.
