“Frugal Felon” Not So Frugal
Hits Second Bank This Month

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the “Frugal Felon,” suspected in at least two area bank robberies this month. The latest robbery happened at the 1st Convenience Bank located inside a Kroger at 12620 Woodforest Boulevard in Houston, Texas, on Saturday.

At approximately 10:40 a.m., he entered the bank and handed a teller a note which demanded money. After receiving some cash, the “Frugal Felon” fled on foot, running east on Woodforest Boulevard. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured some photographs of the “Frugal Felon” during the robbery.

He is also suspected in a robbery of the same 1st Convenience Bank, which occurred on March 4, 2010.

The “Frugal Felon” is described as a white male, 35-40 years old, 6’0”- 6’5”, with a medium build. He wore a green long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a dark colored baseball hat, and sunglasses.
