1978 - 2021

On January 11, 2021, Special Agent Jimmie John Daniels reported to the Federal Correctional Institution Range at West Sheriff’s Pistol Range Road in Phoenix, Arizona, for a tactical training exercise. While preparing to move through the night shot combat course, Daniels suffered a right Achilles tendon rupture. After surgery to repair the rupture, Daniels developed a deep vein thrombosis, and part of the clot traveled through his bloodstream to his lungs. An extensive alveolar hemorrhage occurred, stopping the flow of blood through his lungs. Daniels was pronounced dead on February 1, 2021.

Daniels was born on May 19, 1978, in Austin, Texas. He entered on duty with the FBI on September 5, 2006.
