This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) describes how the FBI performs background investigations of those persons seeking employment that requires access to biological agents and toxins; the information collected for this authorized purpose is maintained in the CJIS Division’s Bioterrorism Risk Assessment Group (BRAG) Database. It also describes the Electronic Security Risk Assessment (eSRA), which will enhance BRAG’s ability to collect and process SRA information more efficiently through an electronic intake mechanism.
