FBI Arrests Utah Fugitive Ricardo Herrera Gutierrez

At approximately 8:30 a.m. yesterday, the FBI SWAT team arrested 37-year-old Ricardo Herrera Gutierrez in Horizon City, Texas, without incident. Gutierrez has been a wanted fugitive from Salt Lake City, Utah, since last year and is charged with Hobbs Act Robbery and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The Hobbs Act prohibits actual or attempted robbery or extortion affecting interstate or foreign commerce in any way or degree. Gutierrez will have his detention hearing on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 9 a.m. before Judge Mesa.
