FBI Detroit to Participate in Willie Horton’s 15th Annual Batting for Kids Baseball Challenge

On Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at 11:45 a.m., the FBI Detroit Field Office, in partnership with Don Bosco Hall, a local community-based outreach organization, will participate in Willie Horton’s 15th Annual Batting for Kids Baseball Challenge at Comerica Park in downtown Detroit.

Batting for Kids provides the opportunity for hundreds of Detroit area children to showcase their baseball talents and learn new skills with the Detroit Tigers during a fun-filled day at Comerica Park. More than 400 area youth between the ages of five and 15 will participate in developmental baseball skills clinics, to include base running, batting, and throwing competitions. Individual souvenirs will be awarded to the top boy and girl from each age group.

The FBI Detroit will provide numerous volunteers in support of Batting for Kids this year, which continues the FBI’s long-standing partnership with Don Bosco Hall and makes this the 15th consecutive year the FBI Detroit has participated in Batting for Kids. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by David P. Gelios, special agent in charge of the FBI Detroit Field Office.
