Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Westminster

The Westminster Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating a bank robbery:

TCF National Bank
7206 Federal Blvd. 
Westminster, Colorado
January 3, 2015, 11:23 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” in height, about 150 pounds, possibly wearing a gray and black jacket, red shirt, and gray knit hat.

The suspect entered the bank, threatened the victim teller, demanded money, and fled on foot.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
