The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) along with the Wheat Ridge Police Department, are investigating a bank robbery.

The suspects are described as:

1. White or Hispanic male, 18-30 years old, 5’3” to 5’6” tall, medium build

2. White or Hispanic male, 18-30 years old, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, medium build

The robbers were armed with handguns, wore face coverings, and were verbally abusive to the employees and customers during the robbery. After entering the bank, they stole a large sum of money from the bank vault before fleeing.

The suspects fled the scene of the robbery in a stolen 2004 black Honda Element. The vehicle was reported stolen in south Denver near the intersection of Cherry Street and Hampden Avenue on early Friday morning, June 13, 2014. The suspects abandoned the vehicle after the robbery in the West 2600 block of 62nd Avenue and set it on fire.

These suspects are considered armed and dangerous, do not approach, and notify law enforcement immediately.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
