Man Sentenced for Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury

U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that on February 20, 2014, 30-year-old Ronan Whiteplume, an enrolled Northern Arapaho Tribal member, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl for assault resulting in serious bodily injury, to 51 months’ imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $100 special assessment, and $21,230.43 in restitution. Mr. Whiteplume had previously pled guilty to this offense, which stemmed from an assault during the summer of 2013.

This case was investigated by Bureau of Indian Affairs Law Enforcement with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
