FBI Seeks Information Concerning the Brothers Bandits

Update: August 16, 2013: The Thornton Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force have apprehended the two individuals believed to be the Brothers Bandits.

Denver metro area law enforcement agencies and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating four bank robberies that recently occurred. It is believed that all were committed by the same two individuals.
These individuals have been dubbed “The Brothers Bandits” by the RMSSTF, because they are biological brothers.
The investigation has indentified Vyacheslav and Denis Volkov as the suspects.

- Date of Birth: October 31, 1981
- White male
- 6’1” tall
- 200 lbs.
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
- Speaks with a heavy accent
Second suspect:
- Denis Volkov
- Date of Birth:
- November 6, 1993
- White male
- 5’8” tall
- 200 lbs.
- Brown hair
- Hazel eyes
- Has no noticeable accent
These suspects are considered armed and dangerous, do not approach, and notify law enforcement immediately.
The Brothers Bandits are believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies.

5971 West 88th Avenue
Westminster, Colorado
3. August 12, 2013, Monday, 3:27 p.m.
U.S. Bank
4301 East 120th Avenue
Thornton, Colorado
4. August 13, 2013, Tuesday, 4:04 p.m.
TCF Bank
2084 South Broadway
Denver, Colorado
The subjects enter the bank, make money demands with a weapon, and flee.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
