“JV Bandit” Strikes Bank of the West

The Wheat Ridge Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating a bank robbery.

The robbery occurred at:

Bank of the West
7575 West 44th Avenue
Wheat Ridge, Colorado
12/13/2010, 2:20 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 29 years of age, approximately 5’10” in height, with red hair.

The suspect demanded money and fled the bank.

The suspect is believed to be the “JV Bandit.” 

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
