Suspected Bank Robber Arrested

During the early morning hours of June 25, 2010, the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) and Denver Police Department police officers from District 3, arrested SHAUN MICHAEL GAY, date of birth 06/08/1987, in the 1400 block of Steele Street in Denver. GAY was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for his arrest charging him with FLIGHT - ESCAPE by the Colorado Department of Corrections. GAY was jailed in the Denver City Jail.

GAY is believed to be the bank robber "Formerly Known as the Perennial Bandit Bandit."

The FBI RMSSTF believes that GAY robbed:

The then-unknown bank robber was dubbed THE PERENNIAL BANDIT after he robbed the same bank for the second time one year after his first robbery at that bank.

GAY is currently being held without bond on the outstanding felony warrant for FLIGHT - ESCAPE. The investigation by the FBI RMSSTF is continuing. GAY will face charges of Bank Robbery in United States District Court, District of Colorado.
