Robbery of Bank of the West in Arvada

On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Bank of The West located at 5805 Carr Street, Arvada, Colorado.

A lone white male entered the bank and verbally demanded money from the victim teller. Fearing for her life, the victim teller complied, removed cash from her drawer and handed the cash to the robber. The robber was last seen leaving the bank east bound on foot.

The r obber is described as a white male, late 30s to early 40’s, 5’7”, thin build, wearing a red construction hard hat, black hoodie-style sweat shirt under a black thigh length jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison term for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
