Homicide on Wind River Reservation

On Monday morning, July 7, 2009, the Wind River Police Department notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Lander Resident Agency, of a possible homicide victim found on the Wind River Reservation in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. The victim was identified as 19-year-old Shyrone R. Brown. The family of Mr. Brown was notified of his death. The FBI, Wind River Police Department and Fremont County Coroner are investigating Mr. Browns death as a homicide. The Fremont County Cororner confirmed Mr. Brown was not shot; however, this is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
