  • Public Affairs Specialist Deborah Sherman (303) 630-6060

The FBI is investigating allegations that Richard Strandlof, age 31, also known as Rick Duncan, may have falsely represented himself to individuals, businesses and organizations in Colorado as a disabled United States Marine veteran in order to obtain money.

Strandlof was arrested by the Denver Police Department on May 13, 2009 on a warrant unrelated to the fraud allegations.   The FBI's investigation of Standlof's alleged fraud is ongoing.

To advance this investigation, the FBI is asking anyone who may have given money to Strandlof (Duncan), to include money given to Strandlof (Duncan) for the Colorado Veterans Alliance, to contact the Denver FBI office at (303) 629-7171.
